The bank provides services such as insurance, asset management, stock broking, nominee services, venture capital, leasing, and Internet banking.

Challenge
  • The Bank was desirous of setting up an ODC in India but did not have a local entity.
  • The ODC was a strategic component of Bank’s growth and Bank wanted to partner with a company that would be able to meet its challenges.
  • The engagement was to be on a Build Operate Transfer basis with very aggressive timelines.
Services/Solutions Offered
  • Optimum was chosen as the partner to help set up the ODC on a BOT model to augment development and maintenance of their digital applications.
  • Optimum was tasked to set up a dedicated facility for the ODC, provision the resources and transfer it back to Bank at the end of 24 months.
  • Optimum helped identify the location and set-up the physical and logical ODC in Whitefield, Bangalore.
  • ODC went through an audit for Client Information Security Assessment adhering to Bank’s security guidelines.
  • The ODC stated operations with a core team of 12, which was ramped up to 35 by Q1. The ODC reached it’s intended capacity by of 150 by Q5 of the engagement.
  • Skills supported in the ODC – Project Management, Full stack Development, UI/UX, Business Analysis and end-to-end Testing.
  • In its current stage, the ODC is also operating as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for its analytics and digital apps.
  • At the appropriate time, Optimum engaged specialists who guided and assisted Bank on the setup of its local entity in India
  • The ODC facility, as well as all the resources were transferred to Bank as per a pre-agreed framework.
  • Optimum continues to be actively engaged with Bank in India, Singapore as well as Malaysia, and is a preferred technology partner
