Malaysia’s leading Credit Reporting agency (CRA) that facilitates credit extensions and delivers a complete portfolio of credit risk management solutions and services which are widely used by the country’s banking and financial institutions, insurance and telecommunication companies, large corporations, SMEs, legal firms and statutory bodies.

Challenge

CRA is on a steep growth path and had a challenge managing its IT organization due to cost and the scarcity of IT talent in Malaysia.
CRA identified India to setup the offshore delivery centre and partnered with Optimum to setup the infrastructure and onboard Resources to functionalize the offshore delivery centre.
CRA tasked Optimum to fully manage and operate the ODC for a period of 3 years before transferring the facilities and resources to CRA.

Services/Solutions Offered

CRA ODC has been set up in a bonded area within Optimum’s existing ODC in Chennai.
The ODC has been branded with client’s logo and colours to give the resources a sense of belonging with CRA
Optimum efficiently utilized the pre-defined checklists and guidelines to identify the location and setup the infrastructure to efficiently manage the connectivity, security, resource pool, cost of operationalization and convenience of the consultants.
The ODC was setup with a lead time of 6 weeks and core team was onboarded immediately after the infrastructure setup.
The team was ramped up to 25 within 4 weeks of ODC operationalization.
The team is connected to CRA development and support environment over secured and closed VPN
The resources deployed are primarily with skills of Project Management, Full stack Development, Database Management, ETL, Business Analysis, manual and automation Testing.
