Organization wide digitalization through Optimum’s Delivery Centres to support (Singapore statutory body)
The solution
Challenge
- CSB was undergoing organizational wide transformation to achieve complete digitalization across the various operations of CSB and arrived at the potential of extended delivery centres to expedite the transformation journey.
- India was chosen as the ideal location for setting up the Offshore Delivery Centre and CSB wanted to have a trusted partner for implementing the Delivery centres at two locations to avoid the geographical risks considering the criticality of the operations that are handled and to tap the talent pool.
- CSB requirement was that Optimum should fully manage and operate the ODC from their own premises for a period of three years before transferring the facilities and resources to CSB.
- Additionally, CSB wanted to build resilience and redundancy by having the ODC split across two locations. This would also help it take advantage of local resources in each location.
Services/Solutions Offered
- Optimum helped to identify the location and set-up the Extended Delivery Centres in Bangalore and Chennai. The resource split among the locations is 15 and 35+ respectively.
- Optimum efficiently utilized the pre-determined checkpoints and guidelines to identify the location and setup the infrastructure to efficiently manage the connectivity, security, resource pool, cost of operationalization and convenience of the consultants.
- The facilities provided by Optimum were, but not limited to, resources and Client Managers based at Optimum’s Bangalore facility, Separate LAN network with AD Servers, Firewall, Windows Patch and Antivirus Management, Restricted internet, fully hardened desktops and Full Development environment.
Benefits Realized
The Delivery Centres are currently functioning with focus on scaling the operations.
Currently, 50+ consultants are working from Chennai and Bangalore locations with projects completely managed by Optimum.
The ODCs have reached the growth and stability phase to take up more projects to run independently.
CSB is leveraging Optimum’s practice capability and Testing CoE at Chennai to expedite the application development and automation testing.
