Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

  • Manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platforms to detect, analyze, and respond to security threats.
  • Monitor and investigate EDR alerts to identify potential breaches.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and simulated attacks using Metasploit and Cobalt Strike.
  • Identify, prioritize, and track vulnerabilities, working with IT teams on remediation.
  • Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, recovery, and root-cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
  • Monitor SIEM systems and analyze security logs to detect suspicious activities.
  • Build detection use cases and security monitoring rules.
  • Conduct security awareness training and promote security best practices.
  • Maintain security documentation and prepare management reports on incidents and metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with EDR tools such as CrowdStrike and Trend Micro.
  • Experience using vulnerability management tools such as Nessus.
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms, including CrowdStrike LogScale.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are a plus.

Experience

  • 4–5 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience.
  • Proven expertise in EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Experience performing penetration testing and security assessments.
  • Exposure to enterprise security operations and compliance environments.
