DevOps Engineer

Job Description

• Guide DevOps teams in improving delivery speed, code quality, security, and process optimization.
• Mentor and coach technical teams while actively contributing to coding and problem resolution.
• Identify and remove technical impediments and deployment bottlenecks.
• Design scalable DevOps solutions and challenge existing practices to improve efficiency.
• Define and implement coding standards and automation practices across the organization.
• Lead planning initiatives focused on delivery timelines, quality improvement, and process efficiency.
• Drive platform configuration management, troubleshooting, and knowledge growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver holistic DevOps solutions.
• Monitor team performance and report on engineering and delivery metrics.
• Foster an open communication culture with clear goal-setting and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, OpenShift, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git, Sonar, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Perl).
• Experience with deployment automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery models and backlog prioritization.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and technical decision-making skills.
• Leadership experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.

Experience

• Minimum 9+ years of IT engineering experience.
• Experience as a DevOps or SRE Lead in cross-functional Agile teams.
• Proven experience implementing high-scale cloud and containerized architectures.
• Experience managing technical priorities and collaborating with Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
• Track record of leading automation and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
